Master’s Blend was developed in collaboration with a fifth-generation master tea blender in Uji using first-harvest tea leaves selected for color, amino acid composition, and a balance of umami and sweetness. The product is offered in 25-gram and 80-gram sizes.

"At TheOther, our mission is to redefine a daily ritual while introducing a high-quality product to the American consumer. Matcha has long been celebrated for its clarity, focus, and wellness benefits. With Master’s Blend, we’re launching a product that delivers exceptional taste, and an everyday ritual that feels luxurious, without sacrificing on integrity or transparency or craftsmanship,” said Michael Lillelund, Co-Founder and President of TheOther.

"During our visits to Uji, we set out to create a matcha blend that truly meets people where they are whether they’re just beginning their matcha journey or have been committed to the craft for years. Our goal was to develop a blend rich in umami, expertly balanced, and endlessly enjoyable, so that as your appreciation for matcha evolves, it continues to meet your needs,” said Harish Koneru, Co-Founder and CEO of TheOther.

According to the company, the blend represents its emphasis on craftsmanship and sourcing integrity. TheOther also plans to open a matcha-focused flagship café in Miami in early 2026.

The brand is led by Lillelund and Koneru, whose backgrounds span wellness, fashion, technology, and real estate development. The company’s broader mission includes blending Japanese tea heritage with Scandinavian-inspired design and modern wellness culture.
