Dr. Leff’s model integrates comprehensive primary care with specialized expertise in menopause, sexual health, breast cancer risk assessment and long-term preventive care. The practice operates under a membership-based structure designed to provide extended visits, direct physician access and coordinated care.
“Women in midlife are dealing with a lot at once. Hormones are shifting. Sleep changes. Mood feels different. Cardiovascular risk evolves, and this is often happening during the busiest time of their lives. In most traditional healthcare environments, those concerns get separated. I don’t practice that way. Menopause, mental health, sexual health, and prevention belong in primary care. That is how women receive thoughtful medicine,” said Dr. Leff.
The practice was developed in partnership with Monarch, a company that supports physicians in launching membership-based women’s health practices. The model is intended to address demand for integrated care that combines hormonal health, mental health and chronic disease management under one physician relationship.
The annual membership includes comprehensive primary care with an extended intake and wellness exam, menopause and perimenopause management, cardiovascular and bone health evaluation, breast cancer risk assessment, chronic disease management and coordinated specialist referrals. The model also offers same-week appointments for most requests and virtual after-hours urgent care support.
“Dr. Leff represents a new standard in women’s primary care where menopause and midlife health are reintegrated. As a physician deeply embedded in the local community, she brings both clinical authority and long-standing local trust. That combination is rare,” said Anna Lohrfink, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Monarch.
Dr. Leff is recognized in Southeast Michigan for her work in menopause medicine and women’s health education. She is also the co-founder of Turning Teen and author of Celebrate Your Body 2.
